August CTMH Blog Hop

This is my first blog hop as a part of the Close to My heart Brae-er's group!  You should be coming from Brae's page but if not, please click on her link so that you don't miss her post!
I am excited to show you some new products that are available!

First up, is the August 2015 stamp of the month card.  You still have 11 days left to get your order in.  If you purchase $50 or more then you can get the stamp set for $5! It is the border around the happy birthday sentiment as well as the happy birthday! Other items used for this card are: White daisy card stock, Happy Everything stamp set for the inside sentiment, assorted edges stamp set for the background, sunset, hollyhock, pear inks and seaside paper pack.

I wanted to make a somewhat manly card for my step fathers birthday so I went with the seaside set and coordinating colours. Yep thats the good thing about the catalogues as they tell you which colours go best with the papers!
Here is another simple variation using the same stamp set but with Glacier and pear inks as well as the ribbon off of the Brushed paper pack.

Next on my list to show you is the new Close to my heart embellishment organizer!  I was hesitant at first but I am too glad I bought it as I have things lying everywhere and can never find them!
This item right now comes with freebie stickers or square inserts to put in your base and bling jewellery so I took advantage!
Look how organized I am now!!!!!
Alright! now that you've seen my stuff, feel free to comment below, click on the link to purchase anything from me and/or then hop on over to Chris Robertson's Page to see her wonderful work! Thanks soo much!

Quick hello card with distress inks

I am addicted to distress inks lately! They just blend too well and make cute backgrounds! This one I used Mustard seed, worn lipstick and seedless preserves. The hello dies I got from Lawn Fawn and I punched out some circles to place around instead of sequins just to change it up!

Washi taped card

I made this card with my friend Tanya in mind.  She loves buttons so when I think of accessories, I had to use at least one! The stamp set is CTMH "Love ya silly" and the washi tape is just randomly in my stash. I took them all out of their packaging to save space and not sure of the company now :(

Christmas in July #1!!!

This baby was made with the august SOTM and Dizzy circles from CTMH.  I used Ruby and Olive inks which work well together! I also embossed the top red sheet to give it a little dimension!

Birthday card from afar

This card actually looks 200  times better in person.  It is glittery (which I love!) and cute.  The flower I have had lying around for years and was made with shimmery paper. The blue piece was cut out with a postage stamp die from Sixxix.  I recently bought the banner die and stamps from Simon says stamp so I thought I'd use it and then went over the black with some black wink of stella for some shimmer!

you're amazing card!

I decided to play around with some background stamps and spectrum noir colouring.  Its my first time and I should be more patient but its nice nonetheless!

Valentine's Day card marathon!

Today, I needed to craft.... So I did!  After having taken the week to get back into the swing of school and mark to be ready for report cards, I really felt a void when I didn't go into my craft room this week.  I had started some of these cards already so by no means did I start and finish all of these today but I had a spark of creativity and was able to finish them!

Lately I've noticed lots of people using chipboard or thicker lettering in their cards.  Since I bought them to scrapbook and haven't used them yet (and wanting to use up what I have before I buy new stuff) I decided to use them on my cards!  Not bad!
The following couple of cards were from a template that I scrap lifted from Kristie who does cards with a whole pack of 6x6 cardstock!  While I love that idea, I did not have 6x6 valentines card stock nor was I going out to buy some so I used whatever 12x12 paper I could find and made some cards.  I want to use all of the templates on her blog but focused on the one today.  I still have a lot of paper left so hopefully I will get to doing the rest later on this week! What do you think? I love how they work together!

I am just in love with the #hasmyheart sign!  Its from a Heidi Swapp stampset and it is fitting for how people are talking nowadays! I also worked a bit with my new Spectrum Noir markers!
The wink of Stella black wand is what I used on the heart. You might not be able to see it, but it is glittery to add a little something something!  I need to get my hands on the clear Wink of Stella but it seems to always be sold out!

These ones were inspired by K Werner designs video where she works with nail polish on the card stock and makes cards with them!  Since I now use gel nail polish, I have lots of regular nail polish I no longer use.  This way I can make pretty things and use up what I don't need!
Since I am a teacher, I like to make little cards for my students.  If you are a teacher or boss and need to make a bunch of cards for any occasion, just send me a conversation on Etsy and I can make them for you! These are 3x3 cards with various stamps and embellishments.
Hope you enjoyed my cards! I enjoyed making them!

Made by a Canadian with love!

I know I've been making lots of cards for Christmas lately and shy'd away from my Canadian cards.  My friend Monique comes back from a vacation abroad and sees one card I had made and says, "Oh wow! These would make fantastic thank you cards for those people I visited!!" So here I thought.... Oh thats kinda cool! Make Canadian cards, not just for Canada day but for those Canadians sending love out in the world! So thanks Monique, you were my inspiration for the next following cards!
All cards were made with kraft card stock and various Close to My heart stamp sets! I also used the Art Philosophy circut cartridge to cut out the shapes.  (Note: the Greetings from Canada stamp is not a CTMH stamp). Aren't they cute?! Who wants one????

Crystals from Dollarama
Unfortunately the Miss you, happy and goodbye sentiments along with the speech bubble are from a stamp set no longer available

New cards for Etsy

Now that summer has begun and I am very low on cash lately, I have decided to try selling my cards on Etsy.  I am not really sure what the strategy is on selling things there but I will see if it works nonetheless! Below are some cards I have whipped up for various occasions.

The stamp "thanks oodles" comes from close to my heart.  I love love this stamp and if you are interested in it please click on this link.

I love how simple yet elegant they are!!!
