Birthday card from afar

This card actually looks 200  times better in person.  It is glittery (which I love!) and cute.  The flower I have had lying around for years and was made with shimmery paper. The blue piece was cut out with a postage stamp die from Sixxix.  I recently bought the banner die and stamps from Simon says stamp so I thought I'd use it and then went over the black with some black wink of stella for some shimmer!

Scor-pal tape and glitter trial!

Recently, I purchased the "thanks" die and "stitched circle" dies from Lawn fawn.  I fell in love! I combined that with some Jennifer McGuire videos and took some Scor-pal tape, put it on card stock, die cut it and then removed the backing and threw glitter all over it.  Its messy but so darn cute! Also do not forget to burnish it in or else you will have glitter following you around!

I also used my new spectrum noir markers and some new CTMH stamps and played with the flowers, ice cream and popsicle! I just love how they blend together!

Don't have much time to craft lately but took a couple minutes to test out my new spectrum noir markers with ctmh stamps! #ctmh #papercrafting

Anyone need some sunshine?

I am super ecstatic at how this turned out! In hind sight though, I think I would have used a bigger sentiment stamp.  This was my faux watercolour technique where I used mustard seed and fired brick distressed inks along with the recollections yellow shimmer spray.  I painted the flowers which were stamped and embossed in Stamp Stuff gold and then flicked some more of the inks at splatter.  I added some sequins and backed it on yellow card stock! What a nice spring time card! 

Latest Card: Dominique got married!

So i got a card in the mail from my good friend Dominqiue thanking me for my christmas card. She was one of the teachers at Claude Bernard when I was teaching there way back when I was in France and had no care in the world! ok im rambling..

Anyway, I visited her this past March in Wimbledon which is where she now lives with her son and bf but when I was there, there wasn't any talk of marriage so imagine the shock on my face when I receive this card and WHAM! she got married! Congrats to her!

It just so happened that last Thursday at Michaels, when I was there for my cake decorating class, I found a couple new stamps about love (b/c of this valentines day thing coming soon, not that im bitter!) and so I had the perfect idea for a new card!
