Birthday card from afar

This card actually looks 200  times better in person.  It is glittery (which I love!) and cute.  The flower I have had lying around for years and was made with shimmery paper. The blue piece was cut out with a postage stamp die from Sixxix.  I recently bought the banner die and stamps from Simon says stamp so I thought I'd use it and then went over the black with some black wink of stella for some shimmer!

Quick card for a bar mitzvah

One of the boys that I tutor for invited me to his Bar Mitzvah.  I wasn't sure what the protocol was so I made a card for him with my new Simon Says Stamp Congratulations stamp and some CTMH alphabet stamps and the star in the background from the Hanukah set. I attached it with foam so that it popped out and made sure to distress the blue paper to give it some dimension. I didn't like so much white, so I added the ribbon and some black bling as it was for a boy and I didn't want it to look too girly!

Watercoloring with real water colour paints and stamp resist technique

I haven't painted in a while and though that I should.  I stamped the butterflies with versa mark ink and then heat embossed them so that they would create a resist with the paints.  Not bad!  I still like the distressed ink techniques better but I wanted to test out different mediums!
