Super Hero Birthday Banner!

My brother is no stranger to super heros.... He love them so much that I decided to do a Flash themed banner on my cricut.  I was too pleased with the outcome that I posted it on etsy for others to personalize their super hero banners!

Happy New years!

Well I do not know about you but I am so super pumped for the new year!  2014 was good but I feel it in my bones that this is my year! My year to shine, my year for love, health... all that good stuff!

I was invited to a friends' house for a new years party and I couldn't come empty handed so I brought a new years banner and some photo booth props!  I figured they were such a hit from my christmas party (see instagram for pics) that I had to do more!!!

The holidays have begun!

This week starts Hanukkah and while I don't celebrate it at all, I have many friends and students who are Jewish.  I decided to learn a little more about it this year and made some goodies!

 I was quite pleased with the way this card turned out!  I used some of Salty Ocean distressed inks, CTMH outdoor denim and some random yellow ink.  I then used some recollections glitter tape and some random Michaels card stock and stamped the star with Glacier ink (CTMH). I am really loving the tone on tone colours lately!

I also used my new circuit explore (a late birthday, early christmas gift to myself!) to make this cute banner for the family who I tutor for!
Not crazy about my picture of it hung because my upstairs is quite narrow but you get the drift! ;)

So officially today it is my dear friend Monique's birthday.  I wanted to surprise her with a couple homemade goodies as first of all, we share the passion for crafting and secondly, we don't get paid over the summer and so my bank account hates me at the moment.  Gotta make use of what you have!
Anyway, I won't get into detail just in case she reads this blog (but i doubt she will before I see her anyway).  I decided to make her a banner.  In my family, birthdays are the best day of the year!  My mom has a placemat, banner, balloons... you name it.  Needless to say, we go big or go home!  Im realizing that many people are not like this.... I can't stand to see people not want to celebrate their day onto this planet! I am bringing my birthday cheer with me when I see her along with this banner I made for her!

The patterned paper is from a 8.5x11 paper pack by COLORBOK called "Rhapsody! I love how the colours all come together!

Victoria Weekend!

Hi All,

I am soo happy to have had some time to do what I love! I also broke down and bought the big cricut as my small one wasn't allowing me to make bigger projects for my bulletin boards at school (Thanks Em for convincing me!). So much for report cards

which I was supposed to be doing.... opps.... Anyway, here are the lovely projects which I accomplished this weekend!

Couple friendship/thank you cards for a rainy day!

This one is both embossed with the cuttlebug (which give the raised look at the bottom) and embossed with powder which is the black section. Once heated, the powder melts and give a raised finish!
