Felt Pumpkin

With halloween coming up and me not having any decorations, I decided to make this pumpkin which I saw on another blog: Clean and Scentsible.

I just loved how it turned out and the fact that I have made 2 recent crafts which did not become epic pinstrosities!

 What you need is:

  • a syrofoam ball (mine is 5 inches large)
  • 7-8 Felt sheets (8 1/2 by 11)
  • a 3 inch circle stencil (I cut one from my cricut)
  • scissors
  • straight pins
  • For the leaf, I used my circle but you could use any material
  • a branch to put in the top to make it look like the steam (optional)

You fold the circles in half and then half again and start pinning them to the ball.  You can choose how much/little you want to fill them up.  Its soo quick and easy!

I have yet to add the stem but once at school tomorrow, I will ask the kids to find me a branch!

Hope you like it!

Fall Wreath!

So while this isn't my first wreath ever, it is my first fall one.  I was quite pleasantly surprised at how easy they are to do with a glue gun and various fall flowers and things.
What I used was: some fake fall coloured flowers, some maple leafs which came in various colours, a gourd and pumpkin thingy!  This picture doesn't even do this justice, it looks soo professionally done in person and makes me so happy coming home from a hard days work!

Too bad I cant get the hanger a but shorter so that my guests can see my number....
